Frequently asked questions
How does this puppy weight calculator work?
It divides your puppy's weight by their age in weeks to get a weekly growth rate, then multiplies by 52 — a common rule of thumb. We show a range of ±10% because puppies don't grow in a perfectly straight line.
How accurate is it?
It's a rough guide and works best for puppies between about 14 and 30 weeks. Breed, parents' sizes and growth spurts all matter. Mixed-breed puppies are the hardest to predict.
When do puppies stop growing?
Small breeds are often done by 9–12 months. Large and giant breeds can keep filling out until 18–24 months.
Should I track my puppy's weight?
Yes. Weighing every few weeks and noting it down helps you and your vet spot slow or fast growth early.
